BEN BRAY'S NEW LOOK CASTROL EDGE MONARO TOP DOORSLAMMER UNVEILED AT WINTERNATIONAL LAUNCH

Three-time Australian Drag Racing Champion Ben Bray has a new look in time for the country’s biggest annual drag racing event, the Castrol EDGE Winternationals.

Four-time Bathurst 1000 winner, Castrol EDGE V8 Supercar driver Greg Murphy and 2005 V8 Supercar Champion Russell Ingall unveiled the striking new livery today when they pulled the covers off Bray’s 3,000 horsepower Castrol EDGE Holden Monaro Top Doorslammer at the launch for next month’s event.

Bray’s Monaro now features the traditional red and green Castrol colours, separated by a band of menacing black, for which the Bray team is famous.

“Having Greg and Russell unveil the new look for my Castrol EDGE Monaro was a buzz in itself, and we all agreed that if having the toughest, fastest looking race guaranteed you a race win, they’d be handing the Castrol EDGE Winternationals trophy over right now,” a proud Bray said.

Bray is looking to regain the Castrol EDGE Winternationals Top Doorslammer title, which he last won in 2008.

“As much as I’d like to live in the past, 2008 is two years ago and that’s too long since winning. Another Winternationals victory would be a great achievement and that’s our goal,” he said.

The Castrol EDGE Winternationals takes place at Willowbank Raceway, near Ipswich, Queensland, on the Queen’s Birthday holiday weekend (10-13 June).
