The annual Summernats car festival was held from Jan 1-4 this year in our nation’s capital. As always the event attracted enthusiasts from all over the country. The festival has always been a major event on the HPF calendar and this year’s event was no different. HPF took three cars up to the event, MRPSI to take on the most powerful street cars in the country in the Horsepower Heroes competition, HPFXR8 for a crack at the Castrol EDGE burnout comp and Daniel’s 300C for display.

MRPSI debuted at last year’s Summernats where it placed second overall. This year MRPSI stepped up to the plate earning the trophy for the most powerful forced inducted small black V8 and the big prize, overall Horsepower Hero. MRPSI clocked 1533.8hp.

This makes 5 Horsepower Heroes titles for HPF. Castrol would like to congratulate HPF on an awesome win. MRPSI runs on Castrol EDGE Sport 25W-50.
